2012-2013 School Year in Review (and what’s ahead)
Friends,
What
an amazing school year this has been! I am incredibly grateful for your
partnership. It took each volunteer, donor, and partner to make this
year so successful. Whatever role you played, please know that you were
integral in fighting child hunger. There are some exciting
numbers I’d like to share with you. I hope they will help to communicate
the impact your efforts have had on the lives of hungry kids in the
Twin Cities. In the 2012-2013 school year, The Sheridan Story…
- grew to reach 350 hungry kids weekly, a growth of 75% compared to last year
- distributed 7,728 bags of food containing 21,932 meals
- launched the start of our multi-school platform, reaching kids in 2 schools
- partnered with 185 volunteers for packing and distribution events
I am excited about what happened this school year, and next school year is looking to be even better.
The 2013-2014 school year will be The Sheridan Story’s biggest expansion to date. We have developed partnerships that will enable us to expand our multi-school format into 5 additional schools for a total of 7! God has opened some incredible doors allowing this expansion to move forward, and I am excited to see where He leads us.
The
growth ahead also highlights the important role you each have in
fighting child hunger in the Twin Cities. I ask that you consider
continuing your partnership with The Sheridan Story into the next school
year.
If you feel led to pray, pray.
If you feel led to give, give.
If you feel led to volunteer, volunteer.
If you feel led to share the Story, then please, share the Story with whoever will listen.
I hope you are excited about both the past and coming school years. I definitely am!
Sincerely,
Rob Williams
