Mount Olivet Lutheran and Shir Tikvah Synagogue Expand their Impact to Ramsey Middle School

Over the past few months, Shir Tikvah Synagogue and Mount Olivet Lutheran have partnered to implement a weekend food program at Washburn High School. This month, these partners have expanded their impact to include students at Ramsey Middle School in the weekend food program.

Due to the school’s location in Southwest Minneapolis, many may not expect the students of Ramsey Middle to be living in food insecurity. However, approximately 42% of the children at the school don’t always know if they will have food for their next meal.

Located a block from one other and a mile from Ramsey Middle School, Shir Tikvah and Mount Olivet have joined forces to change the story of child hunger in their community by reaching children at both Ramsey Middle School and Washburn High School.
