Meet Every Meal’s Development Team
Meet the dedicated and dynamic Development team at Every Meal, who give it their all to fundraise and engage the community in supporting our mission to fight child hunger in Minnesota. Each member contributes to garnering the resources needed to sustain and expand our programs. Building strong relationships with individuals and businesses, they help increase awareness about the issues of food insecurity among children in Minnesota and inspire members of our community to help change the story. The work is year round, but the holiday giving season is an extra special time in the team’s fundraising efforts to ensure we’re on track to continue providing support to the over 11,000 kids enrolled in our Weekend Meal Program throughout the entire school year.
Get to know them by reading what they like most about their role and their favorite food tradition.

What do you like most about your role? I enjoy creating content that helps communicate the unique ways Every Meal is addressing child hunger right here in Minnesota and inspire people in our community to get involved. I also enjoy that I get to work alongside people who care a lot about our mission and have great knowledge and skills in their areas of expertise.
What is your favorite food tradition? Pozole. I could it eat year round, but it makes a special appearance in my family around the holidays. It’s a traditional Mexican soup and my mom’s is, of course, the best. She makes the red pozole with chicken and hominy. For “toppings,” we tend to add rice, onion, radish, lettuce, oregano. And cannot forget the homemade salsa. Also my mother-in-laws Christmas cookies and caramels deserve a noteworthy mention!

What do you like most about your role? I love being able to work with a team that cares so much about our community and getting to see the impact we have through stories, personal experiences, and data. One of my favorite parts about what I do is getting to create efficiencies for my team and pulling out the data that supports the work we do so we can continue to grow and feed more kids.
What is your favorite food tradition? One of my favorite food traditions is brunches with my extended family. We have a monthly brunch with some family, and like many others, we do one for Mother’s Day. But we also will brunch to celebrate the end of fasting for Yom Kippur. Every brunch we have will consist of the usual spread of bagels, lox, fruit and salad, but my favorite dish that comes to brunches and funerals alike is the shiva tuna, a tuna salad that my family has made for decades.

What do you like most about your role? The role of Corporate and Community Relations affords me the opportunity to engage with large and small companies, communities of faith and service groups across the state to solicit their support in helping to feed Minnesota’s children on the weekends! Understanding their individual community engagement goals and how Every Meal can help to achieve them is an incredible way to ensure we are working together to solve the hunger issue too many of Minnesota’s children are facing. We are so fortunate to live in a state where philanthropy is part of our DNA and that giving of our time, talent, and treasure is something Every Meal can rely on and trust that our community partners will come alongside us to ensure every child has every meal they need!
What is your favorite food tradition? My favorite family food tradition is making cut-out sugar cookies for every holiday! Hearts, Shamrocks, Eggs, Bunnies, Stars, Ghosts, Turkeys and Trees…just to name a few!!
Liz Lindback:Senior Development Officer |
Maddy Sobiech:Development Officer |
What do you like most about your role? My favorite part about my role is knowing that my work each and every day directly has an impact in the fight against child hunger. Whether it’s through fundraising efforts or engaging with community partners who are just as passionate about our mission as I am, I love that I’m part of a team that ensures kids have access to nutritious, delicious, and relevant food.
What is your favorite food tradition? My favorite food tradition is my family’s annual Christmas morning meal. On Christmas Eve we prepare my great-grandma’s famous egg bake and caramel rolls, and then we wake up on Christmas and have a delicious breakfast while we relax and celebrate the holiday.
Winona Schultz:Development Manager |
What do you like most about your role? I love connecting generous people to incredible missions.
What is your favorite food tradition? I have quite a few beloved food traditions, but top of mind right now is cinnamon rolls and oranges on Christmas morning!
Zack Schornack:Development Manager |
What do you like most about your role? I love sharing about our mission and offering actionable ways for community partners to get involved. We work with so many wonderful partners, and it is inspiring to see the way they come together to care for the schools and children in their neighborhoods.
What is your favorite food tradition? My favorite food tradition is our family making cookies during the holiday season to bring around to our neighbors. Between the joys (and frustrations) of baking with a 2 and a 4-year-old and getting to say hi to neighbors we haven’t seen as much in the cold winter months, it is always a great time.
