Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week 2023

This week is extra special at Every Meal. It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week and we’re making our amazing volunteers the center of attention. This is a global celebration and this year, it takes place from April 16-22.

We’re kicking it off with this thank you message to our volunteers from our President and Founder, Rob Williams.

Why is this important?

I lead the Volunteer department at Every Meal and every day, I see the different ways volunteers make our mission to fight child hunger possible. They help pack food bags, prep the orders of food delivered to schools, distribute food bags in children’s backpacks, share a multitude of professional skills, and serve on our board. They bring unequivocal value to our organization and community.

With the help of volunteers, we’ve distributed over 11,000,000 meals to hungry children in Minnesota since we started in 2010. Volunteers continue to show up to help ensure we provide a consistent and reliable source of nutrition year after year, week after week. For this, I am humbled and grateful.
